2006

A monkey, a virus, and a Holly we've never seen before arrived on our television screens in 2006. Despite a less than stellar storyline, the return of Robert and Holly renewed the fire of long-time fans and garnered new ones as the chemistry between Robert and Holly transcended the fluff.

Not all was hopeless in 2006. Some pleasure could be found in the continuing mutual attraction between Robert and Holly, the obvious passion, and, most importantly, the love. The passionate, seemingly endless kiss in the jail cell harkened to a time of long ago. The held collective breaths of long-time fans were released when Holly admitted, “I love you, Robert. I never stopped.” That declaration and their intimate embrace whilst on the docks was honest admission of the truth that long time fans have always held close to their heart.

 No longer on the fringe of the newer generation of GHers, Robert and Holly fans united and made their presence known in droves on web sites via fan fiction, message boards, and clips in a desperate and successful attempt to rectify the wrongs of the present storyline. It is through the efforts of fans old and new that the true characterizations of the Robert and Holly Scorpio we know and love continue to be given new life.
